Business Central partner for the UAE and Saudi Arabia

Synapserve is a Business Central partner for UAE and Saudi companies, working from India with hours that overlap the Gulf day. Business Central has no Microsoft-built localisation for either country, so we combine careful configuration with trusted partner apps for VAT, e-invoicing and Arabic documents.

What's different about Middle East

UAE VAT and corporate tax

UAE VAT is configured through Business Central's standard VAT posting setup, with return reporting and tax invoice layouts built or added through partner apps. Corporate tax applies to financial years starting on or after 1 June 2023. We structure the chart of accounts and dimensions so your tax advisers can prepare the computation from clean data.

UAE e-invoicing programme

The UAE is introducing mandatory e-invoicing on a Peppol-based model, with invoices exchanged through Accredited Service Providers and a phased rollout that starts with larger businesses. We plan how Business Central will connect to your chosen provider, usually through a partner connector, and keep the timetable under review as the Ministry of Finance confirms it.

Saudi ZATCA e-invoicing (Fatoora) phase 2

Phase 2 requires integration with ZATCA's Fatoora platform: standard B2B tax invoices are cleared before issue, and simplified invoices are reported within 24 hours, using signed XML and a QR code. Business Central meets this through ZATCA-focused partner apps, not Microsoft's own localisation. We select, configure and test the app for each wave and entity.

Arabic and bilingual documents

Saudi tax invoices must be in Arabic, and many UAE customers expect bilingual documents. We build Arabic and English invoice layouts, and where users want an Arabic interface we check language support for your version and add partner translation apps where needed.

Multi-entity groups and data protection

Groups often combine mainland, free zone and Saudi entities. We set up intercompany postings and consolidation, and design access around the UAE PDPL (Federal Decree-Law 45 of 2021), the separate DIFC and ADGM regimes, and the Saudi PDPL, enforced by SDAIA since September 2024.

Questions we're often asked

Can an India-based team act as our Business Central partner in the UAE?

Yes. India's time difference with the Gulf is small, so our working day overlaps yours. We run workshops online, keep a named lead on your project and plan on-site visits where the work calls for them.

Is Business Central ready for ZATCA phase 2?

Business Central does not include ZATCA integration from Microsoft. Phase 2 is handled through partner apps that generate signed XML invoices, QR codes and the clearance and reporting calls to Fatoora. We help you choose an app and test it against ZATCA's sandbox before your wave date.

What does the UAE e-invoicing programme mean for our ERP?

Invoices will be exchanged in a structured format through an Accredited Service Provider rather than sent as PDFs. Your ERP needs clean master data, correct tax codes and a connector to your provider. We plan this early so it is not rushed when your phase begins.

Can Business Central print invoices in Arabic?

Yes. Report layouts can be designed in Arabic or as bilingual Arabic and English documents, including the fields and QR codes that Saudi invoices require.

Does Business Central calculate UAE corporate tax?

It does not prepare the corporate tax return itself. We set up accounts, dimensions and intercompany rules so that taxable income, adjustments and related-party transactions can be extracted cleanly for your tax advisers.
