Dynamics 365 and Power Platform

Dynamics 365 implementation services that sales, service and finance teams actually use

Synapserve delivers Dynamics 365 implementation services for Sales, Customer Service and Field Service, then extends them with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Copilot Studio. Because we also implement Business Central, we can connect your CRM to your ERP so customers, prices, orders and invoices agree across both.

The problems we're brought in to fix

A CRM nobody keeps up to date

The pipeline lives in spreadsheets, the forecast is rebuilt by hand every Monday and sellers see the CRM as admin rather than help. Usually the system asks for too many fields and follows a process that does not match how deals are really won.

Service requests scattered across inboxes

Cases arrive by email, phone and web form with no single queue, no service level targets and no history in front of the agent. Field technicians turn up without asset details or the right parts, and repeat visits become normal.

CRM and ERP that disagree

Customers are created twice, prices differ between the quote and the invoice, and sales cannot see credit limits or payment status. A nightly CSV export holds the two systems together until it silently fails.

An over-customised system that is hard to change

Earlier Dynamics 365 implementation services left heavy scripts and plug-ins, unmanaged changes made straight in production and no separate test environment. Every Microsoft update becomes a risk and small changes take weeks.

What we deliver

Dynamics 365 Sales

Lead and opportunity management, product catalogue and price lists, quotes, sales stages that match your real process, pipeline and forecast views, and Outlook and Teams integration so sellers can work where they already spend their day.

Dynamics 365 Customer Service

Case management with queues, routing rules, service level agreements and entitlements, a knowledge base for agents and customers, and digital channels such as chat where your licences include them.

Dynamics 365 Field Service

Work orders, scheduling on the schedule board with resource skills and territories, the mobile app for technicians, customer assets, parts and inventory, and agreements that generate preventive maintenance work automatically.

Power Apps and Power Automate

Model-driven and canvas apps on Dataverse for processes that sit outside the standard apps, plus Power Automate flows for approvals, notifications and system updates. Everything is packaged in managed solutions and moved through development, test and production environments.

Power BI and Copilot Studio

Power BI reports that combine CRM and ERP data for pipeline, service and margin analysis, and Copilot Studio agents grounded in your own knowledge and Dataverse records, with a clear handover to a person when the agent cannot help.

Business Central integration

Microsoft's standard integration between Dynamics 365 Sales and Business Central through Dataverse for customers, contacts, items, prices, sales orders and posted invoices, plus Microsoft's Field Service integration where it fits. Custom synchronisation covers what the standard integration does not.

How a project runs

Every step has an owner on your side and on ours, and nothing moves forward without your sign-off.

  1. Discovery with the people who use it

We sit with sellers, agents, dispatchers and managers to see how work really happens, audit your existing data and review which Dynamics 365 apps and licences match your needs before anything is configured.

  2. Solution design

Standard Dataverse tables first, then a security model of business units, teams and roles, an integration design for ERP and other systems, and an application lifecycle plan covering environments, solutions and deployment.

  3. Build in iterations

Configuration first, low-code next and custom code such as plug-ins or PCF controls only where it is justified. Users see working features at each sprint review and their feedback shapes the next sprint.

  4. Data migration and testing

Accounts and contacts are de-duplicated before migration, open opportunities, cases and assets are mapped and loaded in a mock migration, and key users test real scenarios end to end, including the CRM to ERP hand-off.

  5. Go-live and adoption

Role-based training, a cut-over plan, an agreed hypercare period and usage reporting that shows which teams are using the system and where they are getting stuck, so the next round of improvements is based on evidence.

Ways to work with us

New implementation

A phased rollout of one or more Dynamics 365 apps, often starting with the team that has the most pressing problem and extending once the first phase is live and adopted.

Optimisation and recovery

A review of an existing Dynamics 365 system covering customisations, security, data quality and environment setup, followed by a plan to simplify, move to managed solutions and fix what users complain about most.

Power Platform and Copilot Studio projects

Focused builds such as an approvals app, an automated onboarding flow or a customer-facing agent, delivered on their own or as part of ongoing support for your Microsoft platform.

Questions we're often asked

What do your Dynamics 365 implementation services include?

They cover discovery, solution design, configuration, Power Platform extensions, data migration, integration with Business Central and other systems, testing, training, go-live and ongoing support. The scope is set after discovery, so you pay for what your processes need.

Which Dynamics 365 apps do we need?

It depends on the processes you want to improve. Sales covers pipeline and quoting, Customer Service covers cases and service levels, and Field Service covers on-site work. Many organisations start with one app and add others later. We review licensing with you during discovery.

Can Dynamics 365 Sales integrate with Business Central?

Yes. Microsoft provides a standard integration through Dataverse that synchronises customers, contacts, items, prices, sales orders and posted invoices. We configure it, decide which system owns each record and add custom synchronisation where your process goes beyond the standard scope.

What is the difference between Copilot in Dynamics 365 and Copilot Studio?

Copilot features built into Dynamics 365 help users inside the apps, for example by summarising records or drafting emails. Copilot Studio is used to build your own agents for staff or customers. What is available depends on your licences and region, and Microsoft updates it often, so we confirm what your tenant supports.

Can you migrate us from Salesforce or another CRM?

Yes. We map your existing objects and fields to Dataverse, clean and de-duplicate the data, and run a mock migration before the real one. We also review your processes so you rebuild what works rather than copying old workarounds into a new system.

Do you build with low-code or custom code?

Both, in that order. We use standard features and configuration first, Power Platform next and custom code only where it is genuinely needed, because every customisation has to be maintained through Microsoft's regular updates.
